The Writing Center advisors - representing a range of disciplines - are ready to work with you on any writing project, at any stage of the writing process. They can brainstorm ideas, read through completed drafts, or talk about style and sentence structure. Quite simply, they love working with other writers.

Hello! I'm Carly and I am a Psychology major from Columbus. I am in the honors program on campus, and I am also an executive member of TAC. When I go home, I spend my free time with my dog, Cleo, and playing video games like the Sims or Minecraft. I also love to read and write, which is why I decided to start working in the Writing Center. I look forward to helping writers with any and all writing assignments!

Hi!!! My name is Caroline and I am from Akron, OH. I am a current sophomore here a Witt with a major in biology, a minor in marine science, and few other minors that I always seem to be changing. Besides being a Writing Center Advisor, I am also a Biology 170/180 Lab Assistant, a member of Gamma Phi Beta, a member of the Swift Society, and am an Honors Ambassador! If I am not in class, at one of these organizations, or studying, you can probably find me hanging out with friends or spending time reading! Most of my time is spent in the sciences, so by working in the Writing Center, I am able to find that balance! I am looking forward to working with you in the Writing Center soon! :)

Working at the Writing Center
Being an advisor at the Writing Center is one of the most rewarding experiences available to students at Wittenberg. To work with other writers not only contributes to their learning, but to your own, and it is an incredibly satisfying feeling to be part of a productive consultation.
But being an advisor is also incredibly demanding. Good advisors are good writers (or rather, good revisers), yes, but also good listeners, and they must be flexible enough to adapt to the needs of different writers and different writing situations. If you are interested in taking on that challenge, please write to the director, Marjory Wentworth, at wentworthm@wittenberg.edu.
